Has anyone seen then summer infant peek plus baby monitor?

I just had my mom buy it for me because I am about two months away. It is so cool and I cant believe more people aren't buy them. I set it up and my husband wont stop messing around with the app on his iphone lol

I just upgraded from a 1st generation to 3GS. I want to take my old iphone and use it as an educational device for my son - animal pictures, kid's songs, kid's games, etc. I'd even like to use it as a baby monitor if it will still function on wifi. My AT&T dealer said not to hook it up to itunes because it is deactivated. What does this mean? Is the phone still useful?

yes...when i used to work at best buy a kid stole a model iphone and it is able to be used as an ipod touch.

Quality of video baby monitors?

I can't imagine that a video monitor is any improvement over a standard audio monitor. My cousin's GF has a Fisher-Price audio monitor and it works splendidly (they have a multilevel home). Picks up the baby's breathing so you can tell within moments that she is awake.

My husband and I have definately settled on buying a video monitor rather than an audio monitor. So, as far as video monitors, which ones are recommended. Or also if you tried a specific one, please tell me if you had problems with it. I have been looking at the Summer Day&Night Handheld and the Summer Infant Slim and Secure handheld (more expensive). Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Summer Day & Night Handheld. The color is not very good and it makes some static sounds, but the picture is so clear that I can see my baby's arm (she's a side sleeper) rise and fall with her breathing. I like how easy it is to clip on or stand up, and it's easy to tell when the battery is getting low. I kind of wanted the Slim & Secure, but it was so expensive. I'm not sure if it would have been better, or if other monitors are better, because this is the only video monitor I've had. But I can tell you that even though I bought mine used, I haven't had any issues with it yet. I hope this helps at least a little bit!
