Is my babys heart rate to high?

Pregnant *

thats what i thought aswel, but the woman was soo rude and when i asked it was ok she laughed and said your only 18 weeks we wouldnt be able to do anything regardless. but your babys alive if thats what your asking
hi, ye i ordered one on the 2nd and it stil hasnt come.. bt they did say it would come bvy today but it didnt unfortunately

Answer
Hi,Im a mother of 3 and 31 weeks with No.4...While none of my babies heart beats were 'quite' that high..The average fetal heart beat is between 110 to 180 bmp (beats per minute).Therefore,192 is shall we say 'a little raised' but not dangerously so,, this can be for a vast numer of reasons and could just have been the rate at that particular time you were monitored.
You could possibly consider renting or buying a Fetal heart montior/doppler to help you deal with this worry,if just to put your mind at rest,it will give you a reading of your baby's heart rate as and when you wish and enable you to monitor this and take action if you feel necessary.
Try not to worry too much,as this will certainly not help if Mum's stressed out,Seek out and speak to all your medical staff until YOU are happy and content.
I wish you all the luck in the world to you & your unborn! xx

Heart monitor at home for babies?

berta44

I know for adults they have a ton of these workout monitors that can measure your heart rate. Is there something for babies? The stethoscope method and the stop watch are just not getting a true reading in our opinion. Open to suggestions as well. Thanks
We need to monitor my child's heartrate that is why we need it.

Answer
There are heart monitors for infants and children. Please speak to your doctor about which one is best for your baby and where you can find it at.

Good luck!

we went to l&d yesterday and the baby's heart rate was much lower than normal, however the nurse would not listen to any of her concerns and sent her home. What should she do now.

Answer
Go straight back to L&D and ask them to hook her back up to the monitor, make sure that they are aware she has felt no movement in 24 hours and do not leave until they agree to put her back on the monitor.

I am 17 weeks pregnant with twins. When will my babies really start moving around?

I can feel them every once in a while, but it is by no means frequent. I have a fetal heart rate monitor and I listen to them daily, so I know that they are fine, but when will they be moving more? Thanks!!!

Answer
congratulations! we love you!
