I just bought a Summer Video Monitor and it doesn't work without static between two rooms in our small condo. I am hoping there is a way to improve reception, because right now I can't even keep it on at night because the static noise is so great, and when I turn the monitor on the picture is pretty fuzzy and jumps in and out. Any advice?

Answer
Try unplugging any electronic devices between the transmitter and receiver, see if something is causing interference.

I need a better baby monitor?

I have the cheapest baby monitor that you can buy from Wal-mart and I have to change the battery like every 3-4 days. Can anyone PLEASE recommend a good quality baby monitor that doesn't go through batteries so quick?! These batteries are getting expensive and I'd rather invest in a better monitor than all of these batteries. If you can provide links to them that would be great. Thanks for all the help!

I have the Phillips Avent monitor, it has worked great for the last 1.5 years and I LOVE it. It is digital so no static and you don't change any batteries, it sits on the charger when you aren't using it, like a cordless phone basically. I have never changed a battery for it.

You can talk to the baby and it tells the temp in the baby's room and does lullabies and all. (I actually never used the talking thing until now, my 18 month old thinks it's hilarious when I talk through it to him!)

This is the newer version of it (I have the older one)
