I have noticed a trend that headphone jacks for hdtvs are practically non-existent. Anyone in the industry know why we are now forced to invest in expensive wireless headphones so we do not wake the baby?

If you'll notice, there is nothing about good audio associated with HD tvs. All the quality goes into the picture. The sound is passable at best, and really bad most of the time.
I guess they regard the HD tv like a computer monitor and expect most users to use external speaker systems where the receiver has a headphone jack and all other necessary sound support.
Instead of wireless headphone, think about getting a Home Theater in a Box. It comes with the receiver and all the speakers. So then you'll have much better sound and a headphone jack. Just be sure the HTIB you choose has the headphone jack.

Q. i need comfortable durable amazing noise cancelation incredible over ear headphones and they need to sound good ive seen dr dre and bose and sony i just want the best ones available

If you want the best available, do not go for Sony, Bose, or Dr Dre. Those are all consumer grade headphones that sound average when compared to proffessional grade headphones like those made by Sennheiser, Shure, Denon or Audio Technica.
Active Noise reduction headphones aren't very popular in the proffessional brands, however, the sound quality you get out of these headphones simply cannot be beaten by Bose, Sony, Dr Dre, or basically any of the other average consumer brand names. Bose is terribly Overpriced, Dr Dre is alot of hype with only a little performance, and Sony does everything (TVs, DVD players, Cameras) and they can't make any one thing exceptionally.
Since you didn't mention what price you wanted to pay, I'll give you 1 or 2 headphones that I recommend from each general price range and tell you whats good and bad about each one so you can make a good choice based on your own wants.

Shure SRH440: Great Sound (I own a pair) with clear and defined bass. Does pretty well at blocking out noise just by the size of them. Does not have active noise cancellation though. $99.99
$100-200
Audio Technica ATH-M50: Extraordinary sound in this price range. Its hard to find headphones that sound better for the same price as these babies. They also do not have active noise isolation though... but they block out quite a bit because of their size and build. $149.99
Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B: Doesn't sound nearly as good as the M50s, but these ones come close. The benefit here is that these do have active noise cancellation which is what your looking for. $179.99
$200-400
Audio-Technica ATH-ESW9A: Sound quality that is through the roof, excelent dynamics. Does not have Active Noise Cancellation though... $279.99

Overall, I'm sorry I couldn't find more excelent Active Noise Cancelation headphones for you. They aren't too popular in the proffessional market. All the headphones I suggested though give you excelent sound quality. Also, they are all CLOSED-BACK headphones which means that they will block out a considerable amount of sound just because they seal up your ears well.

They have selection guides that help you choose headphones based on what you want them for. I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend using that site. I picked out my Shure SRH440s on that site and then bought them at bestbuy and im EXTREMELY pleased with these headphones. THeir sound quality is excelent for Monitoring and mixing and anything in between.
