I will be building my first gaming rig and need to know that these components will work seamlessly with each other. I would hate to get these parts only to realize that I've got incompatible MoBo/graphics.

EDIT: I have altered my components significantly from the original model I had made thanks to your help. Now lets fine-tune this baby til it purrs eh?

PARTSLIST:

CASE: Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

Moniter: ASUS VW224U Black 22" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor

Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

PSU: Rosewill RP550V2-S-SL 550W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply

RAM: Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1067

CPU/GPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor Model HDZ550WFGIBOX

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders w/ Tech Guarantee

CD DRive: Sony Optiarc Black 2X BD-ROM SATA Model BR-5100S

*As for the cd drive, i don't need to burn. But i hope this still reads normal CDs/etc.

** well, this is my updated list from my previous question. Hopefully the model has improved, and yes, I'm an idiot for applying ddr3 for a MoBo using ddr2... -_- but we're all human, so bite it :P
NEW CASE: ABS Aplus ABS-CS-EL Diablo Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Video Card: XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
Which CD/DVD drive should i get? i REALLY could care less about blu-ray. I only need the basics. Heck, i don't even need to burn any discs. What shud i use?

Answer
Everything seems fine but I dont see your graphics card

the CPU and GPU are completely different things by the way, so I dont see why you meshed them in the descriptio

I'm not sure what the good ATI cards are, but get nVIDIA's 9800gt AT LEAST.

Everything else seems good enough to run the new games at high or ultra high

Which harddrive size would be best for gaming (Building own Comp. Specs in details)?

None

"Maxtor D740X-6L 80GB HDD 7200 RPM 2 MB 80gb hard drive" to install my OS on and then all games and applications on a "Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive". Or just format the Tb hard drive into 3 segments first one just enough for the OS system using XP Media center 12gb and 2 more segments of equal amount from the leftover.?

"80 GB" http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=951
"1 TB" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148433

Which would be best for me?

P.S. gonna use Pc for basic computer shit and gaming ^_^ tyty

Answer
Well having two HDDs would be nice but trust me 80GB is not going to handle for your os and games i would maby go for a 160 or even 250GB HDD.

As for the 1TB just get the best for the same price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284
