We are looking for a really good quality baby monitor and we want one that has nightvision (or infrared or whatever it's called) I've sen some that monitor the baby in the dark but most of them have LEDs on the camera. I don't want to shine a flood light on my baby at night. We just want something that works in the dark without a light. Can anybody recommend a good monitor?

My sister recently bought a baby monitor and I know people have picked up phone conversations in the past with them so how do I do it?

You cannot really "make it happen" - they pick up phone conversations if they are on the same frequency . . . but it does not happen all that often. If she has a simple monitor, it either will or it won't pick anything up . . . if she has a fancier one there may be different channels that you can try.
Ours only picks up the signal from the nursery or static - we have never had anything else come through.
