Please help! Have troubles finding baby monitor! Any suggestions?

t1nk_58

Okay, i have been searching for weeks for a good baby monitor that has video, operates with a 2.4 ghz or dect so there is minimal interference. Either a portable audio or the video itself is portable. Prefer the camera to be wall mountable but if its necessary we can make do with out. Doesn't have to have anything special like lullabies or night lights or anything. But something with a good range as well and indicator for out of range and battery life would be great. And doesn't cost a couple of hundred dollars???? I would really really really like to find something like this but apparently it doesn't exist? Almost every video monitor i come across has bad reviews somewhere. :( Any help would be great. A name to look up? where to get it? I have been searching Amazon, Walmart, Baby's R' Us, target, etc. Maybe i need to be a little lenient on something? idk. HELP please!

Answer
A cheaper alternative may be one without a video monitor, but with a sensor pad instead. I've got a Tommee Tippee one and it clicks each time baby moves, and will sound an alarm if no movement is detected in 20 seconds. It is reassuring, but not a necessity. You can get by just fine with a standard monitor, you'll go up and check on baby when you hear them anyway.

baby monitors for 2 different rooms?

I'm having a baby in Feb and my son will be just over 2. I like using a monitor with him still so that I can be outside and not have to pop my head in at night or during naps to make sure he's ok. But how can I do this with 2 kids in 2 different rooms? The only multi-room monitor I've found is by graco, and the reviews aren't very good for it. Not good enough to spend $130 on it. But I can't put 1 kind in 1 room and 1 in another because they'll just go to static. Anyone else find a way around this problem?

Answer
I have a video monitor by Summer. My sister in law has the same one. When she comes to vist she brings the camera part and we can watch both on the monitor by switching from A to B. You would need one monitor and two cameras. They are expensive though, I think like $150.00.
