I've been looking on amazon for a baby monitor but it seems like all the reviews i read contradict each other. i was hoping someone could compare the experiences they had with baby monitors and talk about which brands they loved or hated
Answer
Hi Pam,
It depends on your budget and what you want from a baby monitor. Basically there are three ways of monitoring; audio, video, or movement sensing. Generally the cheaper baby monitors are just audio ones, and the more expensive options use video. For under $100, I can recommend the Angelcare Baby Movement and Sound Monitor or for a video monitor, the Levana Jena. For higher end baby monitors, the Samsung SEW-3037W and the Levana Astra are both good choices.

Good recommendations or warnings of what Video/Audio Baby Monitor to buy for my 2young children...10pts...?

I am in bad need of a video/audio baby monitor. I have a 1month old and a 20month old. I obviously cant leave them alone together even for a second so Im constantly running from room to room at times.
I need any good recommendations or warnings of which one to buy.
I am willing to spend more for the best one so price is no issue.
I havent looked around much yet and want to get one this weekend.

I have Graco and it suites my needs. Don't get a cheap one because the sound and clarity are fuzzy. Go more towards the higher end brands. If you try one for a week and decide that it does not suit your needs, simply return or exchange it for a replacement.
Also how would a second play pen in a different room or baby gate work out for you? That may be able to separate them for the times when you need it.
